thank you for the time that you took to write to me. I have found myself in a much better place. I have enlisted in the national guard and am due soon to go to basic training. I have chosen to go in as a medic so I will have a career when I finish school. Plus the GI Bill will help me further that along. You seem like a very nice and helpful person. Keep up the good work. May it bring you ten times the gratification that it gives the rest of us just knowing that there are still good people out there. Take pride in knowing that you are appreciated.

/any time your income changes you can report it if you can prove it and that helps alot. Also Social Services sometimes help pay for school.

Thank you Silverman for the information on student loan forgiveness. I'm going to look into these sites immediately. I am not a teacher but that is wonderful to hear that teachers out there have their loans forgiven depending on their income and circumstances. I've never heard of student loan forgiveness so I thank you for making me aware of these opportunities. Hope you're having a great day :)

Silverman, your welcome and thank you for thanking me for my service time done. Even though it was in the '70s, when I got out, I was called a 'babykiller.' I support our troops to this day by writing to a few. Again, thank you for thanking me, and I'll check out that link. John

Hi Everyone, It is rare that someone you didn't know even existed comes from out of nowhere and gives you very valuable help. Well, Silverman is one of those people. When we first talked I was hesitant to open up completely to him because I have had a number of replies to my plea for help that were trying to pull the worn out Nigerian Scam where they will send me $2500 if I will return $2000 when I get the check....go to ClarkHoward.com if you don't know about this scam....I also have a guy that is laying in a hospital dying and can't wait to give me his money....haven't seen any of it yet! My point here is to publicly thank Silverman.....You're a good man...Thanks. Gerry

silverman, Thank you for your advice, your time spent to write me is truly appreciated. I knew that my father in heaven would send me one of his angels to help guide me. I will try and contact these places right away. (wohlfgrl3 at yaho dot com) I POSTED THIS ON MY PAGE BY MISTAKE. I AM STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE THE SITE. I WENT BACK AND I THINK I SENT IT TO YOU CORRECTLY NOW. May God be with you. And thank you again, Tammmy

Hi Silverman and all, Thanks for the questions. First the name of the company I want to work with is: http://arise.com It was featured on Good Morning America along with several other companies. I have looked into all of them and Arise cost the most to start up with but the flexibility and pay appealed best to me. As far as Social Security....I kept thinking I would go back to work after being approved for disability. I belonged to a group health ins. policy and didn't elect Part B of Medicare until my group policy booted me out and put me on COBRA. So I then had to get Part B but I also had to pay a penalty for late enrollment. My Part B now cost me about $135.00 per month. I also had to get a supplemental policy with AA RP which is about $285 per month. I have looked at the "Fee For Service" plans now offered but because of ongoing testing and such this plan is simply not feasible for me. Now as for Medicade and Medicare Assistance I draw $400 PER YEAR too much to qualify. They do not take into account that I am paying about $415 monthly just in insurance and that doesn't include Plan D for meds which in July or August I will reach "The Donut Hole" and have to pat about $3700 out of pocket before the plan will start paying again for meds. I have been through the system with a fine tooth comb looking for assistance but no luck. I was going thru Medicares "Ticket To Work" when they finally found the cancer and that ended that. You did not insinuate by any means I was just looking for "FREE" money but I want everyone to know that my story and need is real. I have worked ever since I was tall enough to push a lawn mower to earn money and it is really depressing for me to have to resort to asking for donations....but I have to do something to get going again. Thanks again for your concern. My blog gives a little more information if you haven't been there. http://home.earthlink. net /~helping.gerry I have to use a friends computer and if you notice....everything about my plea has used free resources. This is how destitute I am. Sincerely Gerry

Thank you for the info. But I really don't want to file bankruptcy. I just finally got all of my credit straight from ruining it when I was eighteen and dumb. As for Medicaid they denied me. They said I make to much. Although the medical bill were over half of what I make in a year. And for the making payments the don't want to work with me at all. As for me making payments. The hospital does not want to work with me. I don't understand why. Because half the time people will just not pay them and they lose all that money. So we are trying the last thing. My lawyer sent them a letter with a check. It said you can take this and that's it or send it back and we will figure out something from there. The only bad part is, what I sent them is all I have to my name. And I have a wife and little boy to take care of. But again. Thank You. Shea

Dear Vanessa, I'm Jewish. According to the Jewish faith, giving to others in need does more good for the giver (in terms of a Heavanly reward) than it does the recipient. So you have done me a favor by giving me the opportunity to give. One day you will be back on your feet again with a healthy little boy. Try to remember this when you are in the position to help others. Be thankful that you have the opportunity to give. John
